Peter Skoglund has 40 years of experience working for commercial law firms. Peter Skoglund is active in several areas of law, such as intellectual property law, advertising and unfair competition law, trade secrets, competition law, anti-corruption, distribution law and property law, primarily in litigious contexts.
Peter Skoglund has represented clients in seven cases before the Supreme Court – NJA 1993 p. 206, NJA 1996 p. 661, NJA 1997 p. 408, NJA 1999 p. 793, NJA 2009 p. 159, NJA 2012 p. 419 and NJA 2016 p. 587 – which have mainly concerned property law, but also copyright.
In addition, Peter Skoglund has considerable experience of both national and international arbitration, usually as counsel, but also as an arbitrator.
Peter Skoglund has twice been appointed as an expert to the court, in the areas of Swedish company and property law as well as anti-corruption and, both times, in English courts. On one of these occasions, the case concerned the so-called Trustor affair, one of the largest financial cases in Swedish history.
On several occasions, Peter Skoglund has been tasked with coordinating and leading trademark protection work for multinational companies in all Nordic countries and Peter has worked in various multinational company think tank groups for strategic intellectual property and distribution law issues (including competition law).
Peter Skoglund has significant experience in intellectual property transactions and, among other things, Peter has represented overseas film companies in the acquisition of film rights to Swedish literary works.
Peter Skoglund has many years of experience working with industry issues in the film industry and for various organisations in this area and Peter has extensive experience of board work in the film industry.
Peter Skoglund has also handled a number of corporate internal and regulatory investigations.
Peter Skoglund is the author of a large number of journal articles and several book chapters, primarily in the areas of intellectual property and procedural law.
